Exit Planning

Airport tax is IDR30,000 (USD4) per passenger for domestic flights,  and IDR150,000 (USD18) per passenger for international flights. Infants under 2 years of age are exempt. The airport tax is payable at the airline counter in cash during check-in, so ensure that you reserve the requisite amount of local currency for this purpose.

Participants who imported firearms must exit Indonesia from the same airport where they first entered Indonesia (i.e. Bali or Jakarta).

If your intended departure flight and date out of Bali and/or Jakarta have changed from the information you quoted during Online Registration, it's essential that you inform the Secretariat of your new departure details,
at least two days before your date of departure, so they can revise the arrangements already made with Police to take your firearms to the airport, and to assist you with export clearance.

If you decide to explore other parts of Indonesia before the match begins and/or after the match is concluded, you're required to store your firearms with Police for the duration, in which case you'll need to make special advance arrangements with the Secretariat.

If you have ammunition left over from the match, you should legally shoot or dispose of it, as this will make departure clearance and transiting at intermediary airports, far simpler. The same applies to empty cases, which are treated like live rounds by many jurisdictions.

If you're transiting an intermediary airport on the way home, remember to read the applicable guidance notes towards the bottom of the Visas & Flights page.
