Competitors wishing to test fire or fine tune their firearms with the
above ammunition prior to ordering for the match should contact their nearest Armscor
dealer or distributor. Competitors intending to use official match ammunition must place their order during online registration, at which time full payment must be made. Ammunition will available for collection from the shooting range from 20 October 2008 onwards. In order to qualify for Section 5.8 of the IPSC rulebook, competitors must order a minimum of 600 rounds, collect them from the shooting range, and use those rounds exclusively during the match. You must retain your receipt and produce it on demand of any match official. Note that regular Armscor (i.e. non "IPSC Load") ammunition in calibre 45ACP can also be supplied on request, however this calibre is not classified as Official Match Ammunition. Privately imported Armscor rounds will not qualify as official match ammunition, which will bear a unique identifying headstamp. |

Competitors are cautioned that most airlines observe
IATA
recommendations, which permit each passenger to carry a maximum of
5kg (11lbs) of ammunition as checked baggage. This limit equates
to approximately 300 rounds of 9x19mm or 250 rounds of 40SW, which is
barely half the minimum number of rounds required for the match. Important note: If you break your journey in Jakarta, then take a domestic flight to Bali later, you will be limited to a maximum of twelve (12) rounds of ammunition as checked baggage per person, which means you'll incur additional expenses having your ammunition shipped by land or sea to Bali. However you won't be affected by this regulation provided that when checking-in for your flight at your origin, you and your baggage are ticketed all the way through to Bali, . Competitors attempting to travel with their own ammunition are urged to contact all airlines to be used enroute, well in advance of travel dates, in order to determine their prevailing policies. Airlines are not compelled to observe IATA recommendations, and they may refuse to accept any ammunition for carriage. A maximum of 1,000 rounds of ammunition imported as checked baggage by any passenger with a firearms permit will be duty & tax free. Quantities of ammunition in excess of this amount will be confiscated on arrival. Shipping your ammunition in advance as freight? Read our notes! |
